    Does anyone know specifically what type of metal the muffler cover grill is made of? It appears to be some sort of cast aluminium. It contains about 3 dozen pieces that are sort of pressed together, and they are all loose on one end or the other. Fortunately, I removed the entire grill (which is held on by only about 7 sheet metal screws) before any pieces fell off.

    It's pressed aluminum and then cut and ionized. Al the pieces are held together with a certain tough Teflon. You can take it off without any issues. it won't fall apart unless the small Teflon joints are broken.

    I like the naked bottom on earlier Mondial, but I'm not sure if it fits a 3.2 euro :)
