My mondial here in Norway. Estimated only about 15 in Norway. Use it a lot when the weather is nice. It's been a reliable snd fantastic car for 5 years. Image Unavailable, Please Login
A recent repost. The car can climb hills rather well because of weight distribution. However, do not under any circumstances spin the rear tires above about 10 mph. At 30 mph I got one of the rides of my life. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It's snow, and fortunately for us who live in California there is a law which directs Mother Nature to place all snow in the mountains, where it belongs. God bless my father for moving the family from Massachusetts to California.
Here in the N. Georgia Mountains we had Winter last Saturday and today it is now Spring, 55F and sunny so took the Mondial out for its first car wash of the year. Wish I had taken my camera! Took the 12 mile 65 turn long way home but just cruised.......
Oh wow! now not many drive in this weather, but when stepping in you immediately know why you drive it. Simply to enjoy it, feel nature and machine! The grin should be big I guess! Very nice to share your fun and enjoyment.
Your engine is in the front. If it were in the middle snow would not be your friend! And this I know from last Saturday the day we had our Winter. One inch of snow and tested out the dynamics. Braking? About what you would expect. Steering? About what you would expect. Breaking loose the damn near-locked differential rear tires? Priceless. And by that I mean one of the most breathtaking wild rides of my life. And I grew up in the snow belt.
THE MACHINE! Its one reason I decided not to install electric steering. Electric steering would seriously civilize this vehicle. Its not clear to me that would be an improvement.

Notice I've upgraded the power steering fluid container. I had enough of that stock sweaty unit and I was afraid of the lid popping off while driving. All good and dry now.
Last weekend was perfect weather in the south bay area for a trip in the hills with the Mondial. Looking down on Morgan Hill. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
