Should anyone need the pattern for the Plexiglass cover of the battery, please find attached a pdf with the relevant information. You need to cut the 3 individual parts and SuperGlue them together; the angles are resultant. The black area is painted on the backside. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's pretty cool, Afterburner. Thanks! Do you have this installed on your car? If so, can you provide photos? Did you create the cover to replace an existing battery cover (i.e., for looks), or to replace a missing one? -J
My car lacked the battery cover when I bought it. It protects the battery and the lower parts of the car from rain falling though the air outlet grill on the bonnet. I was able to get the approx. dimensions off a 3.2L. I adjusted the cover via a cardboard mock-up, then cut the final shapes out of 2.5mm Plexiglass before glueing all together. I spray painted the inside black, masking the transparent area. I have no information about the original fixing method, but a M4 nut and bolt and some washers do the job. To my knowledge, the battery is on the right side of the car regardless of the steering wheel position. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks FF. So that is what it was; the pop rivet holding it corroded off a few weeks ago on mine. I may be able to find something similar and replace it.
I love this site and thank you for all the information everyone has shared. From the looks of the picture that Afterburner posted. It looks like there is so much room. I don't know if my horns are in the wrong spot but between them and the radiator fan its a tight squeeze. Does anyone have a picture showing the fans, horns and the battery? Anything is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Doug (ddiggler).

Great picture. Thank you. My horns are mounted in between the fan and battery. I will see if I can relocate them to the proper area. Thanks again, Doug.
Just got around to working on the cover. On your templet it shows the fold lines. Did you cut the pieces and then glue them or did you heat and bend the plexiglass at the fold lines?
I cut and glued as I had no access to a thermoforming machine. Ideally, you'd build a wooden former and thermoform them.
