    Hi, I'm retro fitting a universal heater system to my car. ( all original bits removed/missing when i brought the car). My question is what way does the water flow? is the port on the rear cylinder head the return or supply?

    The hot water exits from the cylinder head (to go to the heater core). You should download a copy of the 281/83 Mondial8/QV WSM available here:
