Does anybody knows the brand/type of radio/speakers originally fitted to the Mondial QV?
Does anyone have original rear speakers installed?
    Thank you for information.

I understood that the radios were fitted by the selling dealer.

Swiss delivered Mondial 3.2 1988 had a Blaupunkt CD/radio as "OEM". Credit card type of thing that you take out and provides security for a convertible, without the card the radio is not functional. Radio identifies the song as it plays, all this works in Canada, so I presume this might have been offered in the US as well. Can get you the model type if you want more details...can't remeber it off hand...

Thank you for the offer, but my car is an '83 RHD QV coupe. I guess your radio type would be too new for my car.
For information, a scan of the radio from the QV catalogue; it seems to be a Pioneer.
My Pioneer 3 way speakers look similar to the ones in the catalogue; they may be original.

My 1983 Mondial QV has the original radio which is a Blaupunkt "Sacramento" AM/FM/Cassette. I never checked the make of the speakers in the doors. Not a good radio. Sometimes takes several minutes to work due to a defective electrolytic capacitor in the audio volume control circuit. I am thinking of replacing it with a CD radio. Any suggestions?

My advice: Fix the radio and keep the car original (better re-sell value , just in case)
    Listen to the engine instread...

There are NO speakers in the rear, only one in each door. Quality is good...for its year of production...1982.
I drive most of the time without turning it on.

My car has cables running to the back and the small horizontal panel above the rear armrest have a hole (ca. 95mm diam.) cut out from the back support. The leather though is not cut and there are no little holes for the sound to pass. So there have never been any speakers installed. You can feel the hole by hand quite well.

Mine too. I have taken the unit out and replaced it for a Pioneer CD head with RDS. The radio kind of stopped working on mine.

MalcQV - would you mind photographing your original Radio head-on and post it?
I am going to buy an "original" Pioneer radio (from another vehicle) and would like to add the Ferrari logo in the right size and location.
    Appreciate your help!

Here's an original Pioneer KE-4300. It came from the Mondial of a fellow F-chatter who was shedding weight (trackcar project).
It is now in my 308GTB.

Thank you 8valve, great. Is this a flat sticker or a clear coated "3D" injected logo?

    I think it's a silk-screen application. Not a sticker. And also not a 3d kind of thing.....Hope this helps!
I think one of those ultrathin decals used on plastic models would work.
