    when for a ride this weekend and on a couple different occasions my mondial would sputter.by that i mean it was as if a gremlin had his finger on the light switch and would turn it off and on.when it did this it was very breif and i did notice the tach going to zero as if all power was being interrupted.thanks for any help

    It turned out my battery was loose in front and the positive cable that runs to the main fuse box was rubbing up against the body shorting things out momentarily. Ultimately it cut right through the cable and the car died at that point and needed to be flat-bedded to shop. Look at your battery and the positive cables that run close to the passenger side front quarter panel.

    You may also try cleaning up (or removing) the battery cutoff switch that runs from the negative cable of the battery.
