    Apologies for repeating a tech-sec Qs, but I'm not having much look with responses... Anyone dropped their rear subframe on a Mon QV? I'm trying to find out whether all the chassis points should simply 'mate-up' on refit, or whether the suspension strut-tops should be under tension? My subframe had 27 years of loving care, so needed TLC and I have some pull on initial refit, which I want to ID as normal or not. Thanks for any advice...

    no, it doesn't just fall back into place. Mostly the top shock studs catch and need a 'fettle'.

    Thanks Brian, I have 'about' 15mm (I am away from the car and can't remember exactly) to pull back into place to line up the subframe and frame holes, purely on the suspension tops - all other areas are fine. Seemed like a lot of pressure to put on the studs.

    Yes, that's more than what mine was. I think it will still be OK though.
