The A/C on my '92 Mondial T will not come on. The blower does not come on at all. I am fairly sure it is a bad pushbutton switchplate because before it totally went out and was doing so sporadically, if I pressed the switch really hard (so it almost dipped a millimeter or so below the console), the A/C would engage. Then, that stopped working. Other possibilities are a bad relay in front of the condenser inside the dash (I heard that this is really difficult to access), or a bad blower motor (which I hope is not the case given the cost). After living with this for a few months, I finally sourced a replacement pushbutton switchplate part. Anyone have any experience similar to this and ended up replacing the switchplate ? Am wondering how common this problem is and how difficult the replacement is. I took a quick peek last week under the console and saw a bunch of wires, but am hoping that removal and replacement with the new pushbutton switchplate is fairly straightforward as long as I take my time and retrace every wire I remove from the old switch.

    Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

There is a DALLAS/FT WORTH Ferrari service provider that does a complete renovation of the Switch for about $400. This includes cutting new aluminum switch boards to replace the plastic ones that have probably failed in your switch. With this rebuild it will never wear out again. The company is
