    My air conditioner compressor is half dead too.
    I don't use the a/c at all so i was thinking of taking it out and tossing it in the trash.
    Will my defrost work or i'm i looking for trouble?

    The defroster works, but I don't know what happens when you remove the compressor. I suspect it will still work, but am not totally sure.
