Hi all. Need your guidance on a few issues i've got with my 1989 Mondial t. Here goes...

    1. Clutch
My car was standing for 5 months so the problem may be related to that. Today when I drove the car for the first time since the clutch seemed a bit strange. When I press the clutch first it goes in very soft, and then half way down it gets really heavy. I dont remember the clutch being like this before, but maybe it was. Someone advised me that the clutch may need bleeding. Does that sound reasonable?

    2. Heating
When I bought my car the heating fan had only two speeds; off and full. The variable fan speeds were not working. Now the fan is not working at all. What do I need to do to get the fan working like normal again?

    3. Central Locking
The central locking on my car only works on the passenger side. When i use the key in the drivers door it only opens the drivers lock, same with the passenger side. However in the central console there is a button for the central locking. When I press this the passenger door locks, but the driver's door does not. However you can actually hear the mechanism in the driver's door moving, but the door does not lock. Any ideas on how to resolve?

    Thanks for help in advance.

#1 bleeding might help, but it does not sound unusual to me.
#2 Sounds to me like a bad switch. Try direct wiring the blower motor to see if it works. If yes, then you're in the market for a new switch.
#3 I had this on my Mondial, too. Never did figure it out, just lived with it.

#1, bleeding may help, but you may want to try changing all the fluid because the brakes and clutch use the same reservoir. At least that's my understanding. How are your brakes?

#2, It is most likely not the switch. There is a relay in the center consol that controls the fan. You should have three low speeds and a high speed. TR's have the same problem I understand.

#3, Sounds like the control linkage from the locking motor came loose. You will need to take off the door panel and re-connect it.

Both #2 and #3 were problems with my 89t. #2 was about $180 to have fixed at a shop and it took 1.5 hours to do the door.
