I was wondering which clutch is fitted to a Mondial t 92 model? Mine needs changing soon and I've been told the difference in price is huge. There are two types, single plate and dual plate. Im hoping mine is single!

As far as I can recall there is no way of telling untill you have stripped out the clutch - they share the same bell housing so there is no way externally to know.

They did switch from dual disc to single at some late point in the factory run...not sure when BUT there is no way of knowing from outside...also to complicate things you can take an early T and fit it with a single plate with a few updated parts...for me , I was tempted to do so and save the price of the clutch, BUT you don't see the savings until the NEXT clutch since the additional conversion parts add to the cost of the cheaper single plate....T Rutlands can walk you through it...in the end I stayed with the dual disc and stay factory original.

When you do find out, please post your SN so we can have a range for future reference. (Assuming it is the dual type...) I would have guessed they switched in 93 when the Valeo came out as I understood these were single plate.
