    Hi,

I have a 1989 Mondial t. It usually runs very well but lately when I start I cold it idles rough and stalls. It never did that before.

After it runs like that for 3-4 minutes it gets better and when warm its much better.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Start with the basics.

Check for fuel in the fuel pressure regulators (two of them at further most point forward & on the fuel rail). Pull the vacuum line from them & tell us if its wet with fuel in there / or if you can smell fuel.

If dry then check the ohms of the MAF sensors.

Lots written on both of these issues with Mondial t & 348 variants.

Hey Lino, we have a similar problem that started last year. So bad that if I back the car out of the garage, it doesn't have enough power to climb the driveway until it warms up. It's worse in the winter but still takes a few minutes to warm up in the Summer. It doesn't actually stall when cold but it behaves like an older carbed car with the choke open, fighting for life. I figured it is most likely a bad coolant sensor throwing off the cold start circuit. However, that's just a guess. Since the car runs perfectly warmed up, I haven't been that proactive in looking for the trouble. Let us know what you find.

    Hi Michael,

Ok so I will check the lines, they have to be wet with fuel got it.

Dave, my thoughts also, never did this before. Same with me, when warm its good. I will look at the earlier posts to see if I can find some more information.

Hopefully I can find somthing, it sounds so bad

Any idea if the water temperature switch (46) is what sends message to te Motronic or is the two thermometric switches part 48 and 43
