The dash lights/fog lamps on my 89 modial stopped working. I checked the fuse - it's fine. Any suggestions on how to track down the problem? Thanks, Tony
Try the dash light dimmer first. Work it to see if it can be adjusted or if anything changes. The fog light switch is in the center console. That could be your problem with them as those switches are prone to fail.
The dimmer switch doesn't appear to do anything. the rear license plate lights are the same circuit - they aren't coming on either. If the switch for the dimmer or the fog lamps is bad, wil the mess up the whole circuit?
Sure it can. I dont know how mechanical you are but can you test to see if you have power at least to the switch. If you can do that, then check to see if it has any power out of the switch too. Diagnostics eat up time & are a beeotch - but that is what your going to need to continue to do.
