Hi guys, I have a typical flasher turn signal problem. I have searched the threads and could not find a post for my question. What is the best way to remove the flasher, turn signal relay? Under the dash? in the foot well? Is it a bosch relay?

Because my flasher and turn go on and off randomly. I would like to get to the relay in the foot well under the dash. I have already pulled the flasher and cleaned the contacts. Signals work better but not great. I believe I might have loosened the relay wires due to the fact the hood's manual release. I have fumbled around while trying to pull the release. Thanks for the help.

You should probably have a look at the condition of the light stalk on the collum. You'll heed to remove the collum cover. There should be 4 or 5 screws on the bottom that hold it together and to the stearing collum. Take those out and then remove the cover to expose the stalk.

Ok I'll take a look at that. I have taken it off before. My turn signal will flash a few times then stop. I wait a 10-30 sec and turn the signal and it will flash again. Once it stops and I turn on the flasher right away it will not work.

    thanks

Sounds more likely to be a relay fault than a switch problem. Do the hazard lights work o.k? If they are also not working properly that would rule out the switch fault theory. Those fuse boxes are also known problem areas- try a new relay first...

The hazards stop working after a few flashes. Then I turn them off and wait a moment and they turn back on. I took off the flasher switch and cleaned contacts and put the switch back. Same problem. I would thinkit is the relay. I will try to hit it over the weekend. Thanks for the pointers.
