It looks like it would be fairly straightforward especially with the clutch hanging out back. Any tricks or special tools required? Is it necessary to remove back bumper cover also?
If anyone has shop manual pages, that'd be great.

Yes the bumper needs to come off, the only special tool you will need is the socket to remove the nut on the clutch cover.

One more thing the Mondial T has the same basic engine set up as an early 348.

Here is the decision I went through...

Since the clutch is SOOOO EZ to access ( it hangs off the back) just remove the rear grill, bumper and muffler) that the labor charge was very, very low. So as it was ez for a DIY, it was also cheap to have a pro do it! Parts were about 5G's from T. Rutland. I had the twin clutch and the clutch install tool from T. Rutlands was a impt. requirement. THe flywheel is kinda thin and weird so polishing and blanacing that was best left to a ferrari guy. At the end of the day, it was just cheaper for the pro to do it...

VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY IMPT> it is very weird but you have to inject precisely the correct amount of the correct (agip) grease into the flywheel or you car will not start (restart) when hot...(get used to this weird arcane stuff..you have a ferrari mondial..don't ask!) you will be big time sorry if you don't do this grease BS.
