Hi folks! I would like fellow T owners to confirm the function of the hazard lights.

Should the green indicator in the speedometer flash WITH the hazard light switch?

Using the turn signals, the (solitary) green indicator will blink with the respective direction (either left or right), but when I press the hazard lights switch, the light inside the switch will blink in unison with all of the turn signals, but the green indicator in the speedo will NOT.

I looked at the wiring diagram and traced out all of the wires. I followed along from the turn signal stalk, to the gauge panel, to the hazard switch, etc. Both signal wires join at the green indicator bulb. This would be two 12V + signals going into the bulb during this operation, which means it would not light up. Unless there is an internal ground, I can't see how this would work with the hazard lights.

Just confirming if there's something wrong with my car, or this is the proper function. Thanks... Image Unavailable, Please Login
