Mondial t roof mechanism and console

Hi all, I have done a search and have not been able to find answers to the following...

How does one remove the centre consoles where the various switches are? I need to remove both of them (the one with the trunk release switch and the one with the HVAC controls).

Once I get these panels off, are there any tricks or tips that would help in my quest to rebuild the switches so they have a more positive action?

Has anyone found a source for the funky screws that hold the roof mechanism together. The ones with wide heads that sit in depressions in the "arms"? I don't mind if these are not original - in fact if they had hex or torx heads (like the Miata) that would be preferable.
