    Hey Gang,
Can anyone tell me how much of a job it is to replace the throttle cable on a Mondial QV? Mine is getting a tad frayed at the engine end. Might be time to replace it.

I did a search but didn't find it. Hard to believe this hasn't been discussed before!

    Thanks

it runs in a sleeved tube, the hardest part is disconnecting and removing it from the engine, a real PITA! as access is tight and then you have to unscrew the jam nut and ends. throttle side is a bit better but once again it's a tight space, on the M8 the center hump needs to come out between the footwells, for the QV I'm not 100% sure but you'll need to get access from the side so something has to come out.

That's what I was expecting. Meaning, it's a major PITA. DO I need to get at it from underneath? (Meaning, do I need the lift?) My 308 is on the lift right now, so switching them won't happen until spring.

What about just replacing the "guts" of the cable, rather than the whole sheath?
