Mondial Tires

I have a 308 QV Mondial with Michelin TRX 240x55x390 tyres and wheels. I have seen threads suggesting it is OK to use the Dunlop SP Sport 2000 TD 230x55x390 tyres on the Mondial rims. I have purchased some used Dunlops and the wall states "only use on TD rims". I have looked on the web and it appears the Dunlops have an extra bead which locates in a groove on the TD rims. Has anyone any experience of using the Dunlops on Mondial TRX rims please?
