I know there are are quite a few threads in regards to 360 to Mondial wheel swaps, bur I can not find the answer I need. I have a 88 Mondial 3.2 coupe and looking to change to a larger wheel. I was looking at a set of 360 factory modular wheels, which I believe are 18". Does any one know if these will fit my car without modification? What size and offset does the 360 modular wheels have? And if anybody out there can direct me to a picture of a set on a Mondial.

I did install a set of 360 wheels on my previous Mondial and it was a direct fit, just make sure you have the longer bolts. Your stock bolts will not be enough. Also, I would consider lower profile tires so they don't rub against the fenders on hard turns.

Thanks, do you remember what length bolts you used on the front and back. Saw your current 3.2 and it looks great. What size and kind of wheels are those, sorry new to Ferrari?

They were the same size bolts front and back despite the difference in wheel widths. I know they were significantly longer than the stock Mondial bolts (the 360 bolts). I currently have 19" repro wheels on my 3.2. Thanks.

One other important thing to mention regarding 360 wheels on a Mondial. Earlier models before 89 you will be able to put them right on because of the flare wheel wells. They look pretty good except it will expose your very small non-drilled brake discs and uncolored calipers. This will be an eye sore for you unless you have modified them already. This was brought to my attention at a local car event that criticized my lack of attention to this detail. It bothered me everyday after that until I changed them to a 348 wheel set.

You may want to look at 348 wheel sets they look better and hide the braking system plus your performance will be much better with the 17 inch rims vs the 18s. Just my experience the 360 seemed to handle well but when I switched to the 348s it handled so much better.

My Mondial is a 1989 and the 360 wheel set will rub on the wheel wells on rough roads and tight turns because of the body design changes that year.

    Patrick,

Load up the family, animals and cars. Chicken Little thinks the sky's on fire !!!!

But really - - what a great shot. And the 348s do look better than the 360s, IMHO.

    Cheers, Hank

I've been idly dreaming about 360 wheels too, but I have to say I agree, the 348 wheels do look better on the car.

Sorry to change topics a little. I just changed the rubber on my 87 3.2 Mondial and the tire shop removed the old lead weights on the outside, and put them on the inside. Any suggestions on how to remove the remaining adhesive stain on the rims?

    Hey gang,

Here is Rachel with her new 17" Speedline Mistrals. I was very close to going with the F40 styled Compomotive and then, all of a sudden, my first choice of Speedlines turned up. In my perception - remember the "beauty is in the eye of the beholder) axiom - the Comp. wheel, with proper offset for the year/model (not too sticky outy) would be amazing looking.

Anyway - Rachel, show your stuff :)

    Cheers, Hank
