    Hello All, My windshield was cracked by a rock today. I called the local dealer who can get the new shield but won't install it. How hard is it to do it yourself? Has anyone on here tried this themselves? Any help and tips would be great.

    Martin. It is def not an item you would want to install yourself.

    In Northern VA I think Chantilly Autobody will do the installs on Ferraris. Not that I recommend them as I have never used them but I know they will do it.

    After I removed mine I found surface rust had formed along the bottom of the windshield. Most of the trim clips were paper thin from rust and half were damaged beyond use. You could certainly have someone install the glass, but it wouldnt be a dumb idea to get the old one out and restore the channel and replace the trim clips prior to installation. Installers arent going to bother with any of that. They goop it and set it and they are gone.
