    '87 Mondial 3.2, turns over, no ignition spark, won't start when heat soaked, after cool down runs perfect. Has new battery, ignition wires and plugs. Any ideas??? Rod

    Coils, maybe crank position sensors, both can fail with age and heat.

    Need to do more diagnosis. Check fuel pressures, running static and residual. Check resistane in flywheel pickups.

    When you get it going from cold, run it for a few miles and put your hands on the coil bodys, should be just warm and both same temp- if 1 hotter than other coil on way out. Never heard of twin coil fail through. When 1 of mine failed it started ok but after 5 miles the engine was missing and banging, 1 coil was a lot hotter than the other.
