Hello everyone. Is it possible to find a good Mondial for 35 000 euro in EU? Don't care if it is convertible or coupe, at least with a 3.0 engine, and not the T model, but if it is the T, doesn't matter too.
Maybe do an internet search for Ferrari sales in Europe? The Mondial is not overly "rare" by any means, so at any given time, there should be a few or more for sale here and in Europe. For US based sales, you can go to "Bring a Trailer" and look at the sales history of the Mondial to see average sales prices. Hagerty also has a valuation, but I think you have to belong to Hagerty to get it. While it is possible to "just convert to euro/EU" to get values, some models (like the Mondial Coupe) may not translate as well. The coupe is viewed as "rarer" in the US so the value may be higher for a US coupe than it would be overseas. I think there is a service for listing Ferrari's for sale in the UK, not sure about mainland Europe, although there are very many reputable dealers. US based individuals can import from EU, Japan, Canada and other countries, but I don't know how that works in Europe nor which specific country you are from.
Since I just bought a t I was looking for a long time, I will put up my 83QV coupe for sale on Bat soon, it is a stunning car with only a one owner history with 29K miles. Look for it in a couple of weeks. They don't come around often in unmolested condition.
Here it is: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1983-ferrari-mondial-quattrovalvole-coupe-3/ Hopefully I get most of my money back but I am prepared for the worst. This t coupe I just bought ruined all my plans, LOL.
Depends your definition of 'good'. I have one in the UK for that sort of money but it would need to be a project. Mechanically it has been fully restored and has a very strong engine and gearbox. The bodywork is very good, except for a few significant areas which can be fixed by a good welder before painting.
FREAKING SERIOUSLY!!!????!!!???? Sold to Scaledetails via BAT for sales price of $44,000 on May 11th, 2023 Scaledetails bought Mondial t coupe and wants to sell the QV coupe to finance the t coupe so relists on BAT Sold via BAT for sales price of $58,500 on July 14th, 2023 Two month turn around, increase of $14k... WOW!!! James in Denver
Well, I did spend almost $10k in wheels and other costs but it was nice to see how desirable this car was. I knew it when I bought it and couldn’t believe I only paid $44k for a one owner documented near mint example. Where were the buyers 2 months ago, that’s the real question. Very happy overall, it’s going to a great home, and I get to restore my t coupe, which needs it badly, it will never be as clean as this QV coupe I just sold, that’s for sure.
Hi everyone, Not sure if it’s best to post this here or in the Fchat wanted classifieds, but figured the Mondial section might have more eyes on these cars. I’m looking for a QV or 3.2. Specifically, a solid driver that I can use often and put the kids in. As such, cosmetics are not important (could be a 1/10); needing some mechanical work is fine too, as I can do a lot of it myself, but I want something currently running (too many non-running motors in my garage right now). Other factors (coupe/cab, color, etc.) I don’t have a strong preference, but looking for that sweet spot of a solid mechanical driver I can put lots of miles on. Would prefer a US based car so I don’t have to import one. Appreciate any leads! Thank you, Bill

If it helps any, my own car did come through Fchat, but indirectly. I had posted a "wanted" ad in the Classifieds. But the car I found wasn't even listed for sale. It was a word of mouth kind of thing, and just through a few conversations on these forums, it all got worked out. Certainly doesn't hurt to ask here, but you may want to create a separate thread to get more eyeballs. Good luck in your search!
Exactly, and well done. Anyone here could have stepped up and bought it at the previous BaT auction. What I tell someone (tongue in cheek) when they are interested in a car that I bought in a public forum such as BaT, in person auction, etc.... "it doesn't matter how much I paid for the car, what matters is how much YOU will pay for the car."
On the Mondial in 86 you could get either metric or standard, I don’t recall if one was an option and one came standard or what the deal was. My 86 came with metric but the owner before me switched them over to standard.

Tempting, but I am too buried in other stuff to put my driver side door panel back together and my center console or I would hit you up.
No sale, bid to $30,500. Car had 55k miles, the only reason I can see for the no sale and low bid. AND maybe the previous coupe that just sold thanks to Scaledetails AND the valeo that's up.
No sale on BAT. Bid to $60.500. Only 5k original miles but the car is in Canada and "sold with registration" (didn't read to find out about title). There was mention of the engine out belt service needing to be done, but even adding that, it still would be in the low $70s. Maybe the market is softening? Or maybe it was the recent coupe sales and interested/serious buyers are out. I would have thought it would have sold considering the rarity.
