Update. This car has been sold.
Not sure if it's still available: "Mondial 8 s/n 36193 in the super-rare yet gorgeous colour combination of Oro chiaro metallizzato 133-Y-15 (metallic gold) with testa di moro (chocolate brown) leather interior! Around 30.000 invested in mechanical components and repaint in the original colour. German historic car registration." Andreas Birner media by BTHXM9FFpqb instagram . Found the interior photo. Wow, two-tone. Never seen that on a Mondial before. . Image Unavailable, Please Login
Loving the brown interior, that would look good with yellow. I agree with Mr Buckles, not much for sale out there - considering how many were made. Just one on ebay according to my worldwide search - surprising given May is prime time for selling classics and convertibles. Image Unavailable, Please Login
ahah...........another brainfart I used "classic cars" not "cars" here is thr worldwide list: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Prices have been creeping up though, difficult to notice because this hasn't been as sudden as for the 3x8 or Testarossas. I prefer this kind of increase because it looks to be more solid and less speculative.
Still not convinced my ebay search string worked properly, its only showing cars from the UK & Benelux. Ah well. Im always baffled by the lack of interest in the Mondial (and to a lesser extent the GT4) doesnt everyone want an Italian GT? The world is full of FOOLS!
Nice looking T (From the pictures) going to auction this weekend. A touch of celebrity, belonged to Michael Douglas's wife. 1989 Ferrari Mondial T Cabriolet | Santa Monica 2017 | RM Sotheby's
This one's also for sale, not quite a Mondial, but still worth mentioning because this one can also be looked at as an "entry model": https://www.2dehands.be/autos/suzuki/swift/suzuki-swift-ferrari-ombouw-355747883.html Image Unavailable, Please Login
After lots of regret not buying a yellow coupe near and everyone telling me you will never see one again in the US for sale, this pops up... Not a coupe but still yellow. What do y'all think? 1984 Ferrari Mondial 3.0 QV | eBay
If that was in the US, I'd buy it in a heartbeat!!!!!! That's just the thing to satisfy my bizarre sense of humor! Sid
Then, I noticed the word "Accident". Take a good look at the pics. Especially the passenger side!!! Sid
Am I wrong in saying that it would cost the buy it now price of the car to have that repaired? (and then some) That being said, I hope someone purchases it and restores it. There is the potential for a beautiful classic Mondial. The black bumpers on that year seem to tie in nicely with the black convertible top, and that yellow is quite eye-popping.
This car has become famous in Belgium. The dealer where it is stored, is located next to the festival domain called 'Werchter' where thousands of people passed by. It got some articles in news magazines here. The dealer had received hundreds of bids on the car... Not sold so far.
Mine is for sale: 1982 Mondial QV Coupe Argento with beige interior 39.000 kms full history all original with complete pouch (service book etc), toolkit, jack kit... unmolested, former Swiss car car is in Holland, Europe price 39,500 euro Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's a drop dead gorgeous car my friend, sad to see it go. If I would have the budget, I'd be interested, but I already have to look after 3 mondials... Good luck with sales!
Thank you all for the kind words. The car is really nice and all original. Reason to sell is the purchase of an Argento 308.
