Agreed; how many sub 5,000 mile t’s can there be left? Still pretty unbelievable that in 25 years she’s done 2,500 miles (that’s 100 miles/yr!!). Funny too because the Mondial has never really been thought of as a “collectable” (garage queen) Ferrari >>> read: appreciating in value. But then again how does one explain this car’s mileage? I wonder how many owners she’s had.

Too many "highline" car brokers in South Florida, I'd be wary...

Especially since it's illegal to put stickers on Florida plates (F.S. 316.605).

    Shady?

Perhaps...? I don't know the full story here, but it still looks like a nice car.

I don't think $75k for this car, model year, and mileage is crazy providing it has a service history.

If theres no recent major service, I think $60k is a fair number provided everything else checks out.

Purists would say that it needs another major before the end of this year. ;)

Plate is OK in real life. No LEO will pull over a dealer plated car with a "support the local sheriff" sticker. Can't speak to the dealership itself.

The link goes to a new listing of the same car. How high did the bid get? Last I saw was about $52,000.

went as high as 52K, reserve not met. For only 2,000 miles - probably best to list at a formal auction house.

I think they had an "ask" on the car around $70k.

Maybe it's just the photos, but it doesn't look museum quality to me. You could tell me it has 30k and I wouldn't think twice.

There was a Mondial t with basically just delivery miles that sold in Europe last year. That car looked pristine. I think the quality of storage is key.

If there's a car you really want, pay a premium for it, aka "It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it." They aren't going down in value and will not depreciate like a new car will, so there's not too much to get hurt by, and there's always at least one other guy that will want it as bad as you did.

If you're lucky, people will wake up in the near future and realize how good these cars are. Once that happens and high demand meets limited supply, these will become the "remember when you could buy a Mondial for..." prices. If that doesn't happen, who cares...You bought and enjoyed what you wanted and life is short.

I'm thinking of offering ...depending on the usual...PPI, etc

I know the average asking price is $39K

I'm thinking of $60K...if all checks out

    am I nuts?

    Mike,

What will it take to make your dream a reality? Do you really care what anyone thinks you paid for it? You live once, the price is what you are most comfortable with. The pleasure these cars bring to those of us that are lucky to own one is PRICELESS!
