The coupe on eBay ZFFAD08A0C0038159 used to be your car? Oops... Sorry for the confusion. Thank you for correcting that. PolarGlade's car ... ZFFHD08B000036519 ... I mean, they both start with "Z" and end with "9". ... in between, there's numbers and stuff, right? That's pretty close, right? lol
Yes, going back to Post 2051 - https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/146802455/ I sold the car 20 years ago (July 1999), the AutoCheck period for Niceville is when I owned it. I bought the car from a "High-Line" dealer in Clearwater, FL. The chin spoiler was all black back then and, surprisingly, it still is.
Winning bid for the Coupe was $20,200.00 (48 bids). Just a bit less than what I sold it for 20 years ago.
Not sure who touched this, but the two light units have been switched and the indicator light needs to be turned by 90dregees. the narrow side of the black casing needs to be facing down. I think it is a great project car for the right price. not more then 15K IMHO
Occasionally these auction places will have a car thats listed s normal wear and tear with clean title. As to why it got there may never be known, but they do sometimes go through.
Does break-even qualify as a "free" Ferrari? I thought it looked like the tail-lights had simply been installed / re-installed incorrectly. Just wasn't familiar enough to know for sure. I would have loved to buy as a project car, but currently don't have garage space for a project. It would have been sitting outside in the elements for at least a year. I wasn't able to find a "final bid" or "winning bid" price on Copart. I'm not sure if they don't provide that info, or if I just wasn't a good enough website detective. Interesting. If that's the only issue (normal wear & tear, clean title), the buyer may have gotten a really sweet deal, depending on whatever the final amount ended up at.
I just paid the $20,200 for Wade's former '82 Mondial in the 4-word eBay ad -- the coupe. I did not know at the time that the car used to be at BHCC. They're not known for having decent examples, of anything. That said, I had some lengthy phone conversations with the current seller and either he's completely full of it or it's a decent car. I wanted a coupe, and the price was right. So I thought why not? I'll be sure to give everyone at FC a report on the car. The last Ferrari I bought has been amazing once I dropped the expected amount of money for a full service and some general sorting. Hopefully this will be the same. Fingers crossed.
Congrats on the purchase - Mondial Coupes are cool cars. I hope that it turns out to be an amazingly fun car for you. I love mine! 2cam
This former Valeo "t" with a F430 Challenge power plant is for sale for ± £100,000. The benefit of a RHD car here in the US is you can make some extra money by delivering USPS mail. Always loved the Blue Sera with tan 3.2 Coupes. Any Aussies in the house looking for a RHD Coupe? https://www.examiner.com.au/story/6471795/rare-louis-vuitton-case-ferrari-up-at-auction/?cs=12 Image Unavailable, Please Login

It was bid to $23K earlier this year on BaT. It seems to have been sitting, unsold since then... https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1987-ferrari-mondial-3-2-cabriolet-6/ 2cam
Looking at the ad it leads me to a lot of questions like why does it have a 308 steering wheel and what happened to the original wheel and the tools and the books and why are they saying it needs an engine out service does it need exhaust work also or something that would require or be easier to fix by pulling the engine?
That ad just screams "we didn't see the value in doing any of the work ourselves, let's find a sucker..." Yawn.
i would think private party 20-25k with those needs. If you aren’t DIY, it’s not a cheap major (especially since they snuck in the valve adjustment comment). As they say, a FULL major on this, seals, gaskets, WP and all the “while you’re in there’s” could go $8k+ at an indie. I think my 8 cost me $6500 alone and I didn’t have all punch list items done.
