really don’t want to honestly. I’m so sick of having to spend 7 days on the defensive selling something.

I sold mine on BaT in December, and had very few questions in general. The advantage of using BaT, if you set a reserve that's reasonable, or better yet none if willing, is that it's over and done in 7 days, not months or even a year possibly. I think you'd spend a lot more time dealing with tire kickers than not if you listed it the usual ways or even listed it on F-Chat. IMO.

Good luck with the sale regardless !

appreciate the thoughts. I’ve sold my 308 and 308 GT4 on BaT. And more recently my Cherokee.
It’s def ease of use. Just lots of hoops. My Dino at the moment is going through the same annoyance with tons of strokes.

but again, time isn’t on our side right now to sell ANYTHING with this virus lol. So, I’m a great timer of markets :D:oops::oops::rolleyes:

It looks like this '87 white on tan cab (vin# ZFFXC26A5H0073489 ) is for sale again - https://www.ebay.com/itm/1988-Ferrari-Mondial-Cabriolet/383472608715?hash=item5948bfa5cb:g:644AAOSwjdFedWjD .

This may the the most talked about Mondial on the forum due to the assumed Nicole Simpson connection (eventually proved to not be her car) - https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/nicole-simpsons-ferrari-did-i-buy-it.282160/ .

It last sold on BaT back in November for $27K - https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1987-ferrari-mondial-3-2-cabriolet-7/ . It looks like the current seller is mostly using pics from the BaT auction in his listing.

In our current environment (CV) I think this is market correct. Even 2-3 months ago I think this car would have struggled to hit 40k. The stock market is now down 35% from it’s recent highs. What’s 35% of $40k? A: $14k. So $40k-$14k= $26k why I say MARKET CORRECT. Honestly I would have guessed lower, and think the buyer should certainly be content. Now is NOT the time to sell a Ferrari- just this man’s opinion, ymmv.

looking at the photo of that car..man it looks rough... as the owner of a few of these over the years - iMHO, its not a 17k mile car..or its the worst 17k mile car ive seen.. that interior looks worse than any car ive had. lots of dirt and grime in the switches.. the ashtray looks like it has rust on the edges.. the buttons for the AC look like they have been used a lot. .. the steering wheel has more wear on it than my 38k mile car . there is damage on the right rear valence. the engine bay looks decent including the servos for the adjustable dampers. and its just really dirty. if it was a well taken care of car, it would photograph a lot nicer. IMHO - even rough cars can photograph well, this one did not. so it must have been real ban in person. also the white white is quite unique. thats for a special buyer. with so many avalaibe , im sure none of you have white / white on the top of your color choices... i purchased a $29k 41kmile white / red T 2 years ago.. and that car was about the same conditon, and the ebay photos were a lot nicer than this one.. needs a belt service and a lot of love. also the Amelia island sale was already in virus scare.. overall that auction was quite down.

but that T going off today Bring a trailer looks nice.. i sure hope that gets to 40$. all the photos on the interior look much nicer than the 17k mile car above.. look at all the gauges, buttons, knobs, panels and steering wheel.. based on the these photos representative of a 40k mile car, the 17k mile car looks more like a 75k mile car . and i know a lot of you have higher milage cars in better shape..

Ken do you know when your Mondial is going on BAT yet? I've been checking looking forward to seeing it. I know it's not the right forum and as they say in The Soprano's 'no disrespect to the Mondial forum' but I want that euro 85 308 and it's only about an hour and a half from me. Hey it's still in the family.

lately, not really excited about it or really want to sell anymore. Call it conflicting mental wrestling

Still too high. Anyone can import a "newer" t Coupe from Europe for similar or less. And with lower miles as well.

All Mondials are eligible for importation, the newest one is 27 years old.

It's been consistently listed in the Ferrari Market Letter for 75 even while the online price is different. Ironically they raised their online price to 85 a day or two after I sold mine on BaT at the end of December. It's listed for 64,997 on their website today. Still way to high IMO.

I don’t know the first thing about the used car business, but isn’t the goal to sell cars? How do those guys stay in business with their ridiculous prices? Some of their cars have been sitting there for years,

an Euro T Coupe import will never be the same value as a 1/39 usa car.. funny with these ads from dealers.. they say "recent engine out service". but on miles ..it can be "like 4000 miles ago".. but they never look at the age of service.. as we all know with the T cars, the belts normally age out vs, milage out.

43 actually. But then the 93 Euro is a better car than any from 1989. "Values" are insignificant.

ahh i thought it was 43 for north america ( canada) and 39 of them were usa..still tho...

looking in euro ads.. dont see any cheap ones.. actually by the time you ship it, import it, pay taxes... the price from merlin doesnt looks too crazy

    https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/dealer/ferrari/mondial/2340334.html

values are insignificant? not sure what you mean.. thought we were talking about value ?

i might be ignorant, but in USA from what i can tell , every collector car "black market/ euro imported" sells for less than the "identical" usa spec car..
