Has anyone had any experience with Mondino Imports in Colorado Springs. The advert says they repair all kinds of imports, including Ferrari. Another shop says their mechanic is Ferrari Factory certified.

It would be nice to have a source a little closer to home, especially since Dave Helms wont move down here.

    Mule -

Funny, I can't get Dave to move down HERE either...hahahahaha.

I used Mondino when I first got my car to have an oil change and brakes bled out since they were local. Chad (with the white Testarossa) used them as well as his friend with the Diablo and recommended them to me. I believe their mechanic was trained on older F-cars but he definitely didn't know everything about my 360, for that reason I never used them again. I had a couple issues at the track due to them not knowing my car well enough and go figure Mr Helms swoops in and saves the day for me. I agree that a 180 mile drive to Dave's shop is a bit out of the way or even the 100 miles to FOD just for an oil change. My personal opinion would be Mondino is "capable" of doing some of the routine stuff on your car where Dave is the "master yoda guru".

Mr. Helms is my new Hero, but to call him a Guru conjures up thoughts of a cachectic, white-bearded, cross-legged recluse at the top of some nigh-unreachable mountain peak who convinces you to part with all your worldly posessions.

Certainly he looks nothing like that image. . .

He might not look like that but he isn't for sure pretty !! That's why we keep him under the cars.

You guys down South better not touch at Dave's. He is North of the divider so just move North to get his help !! We have him, we keep him, PERIOD.
Cars are coming from all over even a motor from Hawaii !!! You could just drive the 65 miles to see his place..and get service LOL

    Roland,
I'll take your advice and move North. Back to Alaska that is. I could probably entice Dave Helms with a fishing trip to come work on my car up there.

I started having the car towed there - not a bad deal all the way around - not expensive, and real easy..

    something to consider..
