    120GB is an odd size for a solid state drive. That's actually a marketing problem because one of the instant signs that a computer has a SSD is that it's HD space is always evenly divisible by 64. That one should be 128GB.

    Its 120GB because the controller we use has over provisioning which 6 percent of the flash is used to improve reliability and speed. Look at all SSD's that are using SandForce controller, majority of them are 120 GB

    Interesting. Do they advertise it as 120 or 128? All my Apple laptops are in 64GB increments so I thought that was the norm. My bad.

    Yes, just go to Newegg.com. Look at any of the Intel 520 series, Kingston, Sandisk, OCZ and Corsair SSD. Samsung has their own controller and Micron/Crucial use Marvell controller with their own firmware.
