I find it so bizarre that people that buy Ferraris etc bother to try to save taxes etc by registering in other states or whatever.... guess that's why I'm poor; I just never look to save a dollar anywhere. I could be buying something in a store and a guy could come up to me and say, hey it's 2 grand less across the street and I'm like, ah whatever, I'm already here.... sigh, you guys are too savvy and smart and have WAY too much motivation and time to bother to save ~25k in taxes.-- maybe I'm just jealous, I don't know.

Bottom line? In a state like Texas or Florida? Pay the 6% and move on with life. The annual renewals are nothing. California is a different story. You have to pay and pay and pay. I can' say more without getting dinged for P&R, but people have been voting with their feet for a very long time.

I was thinking of registering my 612 and FF in Maranello, however they will be garaged in Massachusetts. Would European plates with an "I" country designation be a red flag?

Huge debate and rightfully so; the way I see it there's only 1 true solution:

Move to Montana soon and raise a crop of dental floss
