    Hey guys,
I'm planning a factory tour after the Italian GP in Sept. Which ristorante would you recommend? Which has more race & driver history?

    Thanks,

The wife and I have been to Montana and loved it. Fantastic. Tons of history. Cavallino, never dined there and it’s under a new chef and is entirely different from a couple years ago so can’t comment.

    Enjoy your trip!

Ended up picking Montana for the tour lunch. We may still go to Cavallino for dinner.:)

    Thanks NbyNW!

Another fchatter posted this place somewhere, probably in the Travel section so we tried it. Loved it. Food was fantastic. Wife talks about going back all the time. Close to Maranello too. And their balsamic vinegar operation is incredible. I love vinegar so a bonus. Acetic acid… good stuff!

Montana is the real deal. I have been probably 10 times each time I travel to maranello. I was not impressed with cav… only went once. Didn’t need a repeat.

I was at Cavallino in Sept. Yes the new management is Massimo Bottura, I enjoyed the food and the place, modern in design, true to Ferrari heritage with the things inside the restaurant. Some "elevated" classic dishes like the Vitello Tonnato; but the pasta was sublime.

If you want a good food (including a special pizza), you may try Lo Smeraldo not far from Maranello https://ristorantelosmeraldo.com/
Owner is also a F fan and he shows many car parts on the walls...pictures with F drivers and so on...
A good hotel in the area: https://executivespahotel.com/
