So SENNA1994 was wrigth, he said :"Oh by the way for you Portugual Fans of Monterio, looks like your boy isn't going to be in F1 next season."
MONTERIO will not be in Midland, MONTEIRO will!

Show me where it says Tiago is driving for Midland in 06. I have gone to every F1 website and there is no story about Tiago signing on in 06.

I thought Narain did an awesome job for the first few races - he was quick out of the box. But then Monteiro took over - he earned my respect. Overall, I think Monteiro did a much better job..

No, not yet. But I'm sure about Tiago signing today in Lisbon. They are saying in tv and in several press sites.

Breaking news in Portugal! Monteiro will be driving for Midland 2006.
To be officially announced in following days...
Well done Tiago! You deserve it!

I guess Senna 1994 is still busy trying to find a team for Scott Speed (not yet confirmed at Toro Rosso)

I read an article on Monteiro. He didn't start racing until aged 20 or 21. He didn't even know he wanted to race until he went to a track day and he was extremely talented. That is fantastic, I think, as these days you have to be well connected and be winning in karts from the age of ten to be in f1, it seems.

How much is money is Tiago bringing in for next year? I highly doubt they are going to be signing and paying him as a driver.

Hey, wow, I was wrong about old Tiago, I didn't think that Midland would need a pay driver in 2006, but I guess the Russian Businessman is first and foremost a Businessman as opposed to a Sportsman, hence signing Tiago. I guess they would rather have Pay Drivers than top flight drivers. But Congrats to you guys in Portugal, Tiago will have another fine season, maybe if he is lucky we will have a repeat of Indy and he can score another podium.

IIRC didn't Indy give him a chance to showcase his Gene Simmons like oral endowment ?

And didn't he cop the Rookie of the Year award this year ?

I think Narain deserves a place in F1 too. He's not better nor worst than a lot of others drivers that pay million $$$$ to be there. At least he's from a different country and this is the world championship, and guys like Schumacher are around all the world...they just must be found! Look at Alonso he's F1 champion and is Spanish...some years ago (8 or 10 to be pricesely) car racing was a not significant sport in Spain.

Yeah I guess you got to give it up to Narain. He has done a pretty good job, considering he is from India, which is a country that has no knowledge of racing or even sports. The largest sport there is cricket, but now I think since Narain was in F1, it became the second most watch sport. Having an indian F1 driver is like having the Jamacian bob sled team. Give them a decade and who knows for a country that has a population of 1 billion I am sure they can have a world champion.
