    I'm just listening to the preamble to the Bonhams auction and the auctioneer was very clear that the auctioneer can keep bidding against other bidders "on behalf of the seller" up to the reserve price.
    This is effectively an admission to chandelier bids no?

    Chandelier bids have turned into "bidder on the phone".

    I don't have a problem with it really as long as it doesn't go beyond the reserve
