I was wondering if there was a gettogether for all 365/400/412 owners at Monterey Car Week, and if not, could we organize one?

I would love to if my car doesn't sell! It will be offered on Friday afternoon so anytime after Saturday 3:00 pm my wife and I are available.

    Cheers

I'd love to! Unfortunately I won't have my 412 as I'll be with my 308, but it would be great to meet up nonetheless. I'll be in Fri-Sun.

This could be a cool place to meet up at while we ponder about pondering about pondering "trading up" to a California T after test drive.

Ferrari will debut “Casa Ferrari Carmel” during California’s Monterey Car Week, Wednesday August 12th to Sunday August 16th. Situated perfectly in the Carmel Highlands on Route 1 and striking a chord with Ferraristi familiar with Enzo Ferrari’s historic home at the Fiorano test circuit, Casa Ferrari Carmel will serve as the center of all Ferrari activities in the Monterey area.

Among a host of activities and displays, Casa Ferrari will feature:

The current Ferrari lineup including the brand-new 488 GTB, F12berlinetta, FF and California T
The Piazza, with a different iconic model featured daily for public viewing
The Pit Stop, offering a vintage, full-service working gas station
The Ferrari General Store, with select Ferrari merchandise
Casa Enzo and Caffé Ferrari, where Ferrari owners can enjoy Italian espresso and gelato by Filicori Zecchin and Grom
California T ride and drives, available on a first-come, first-served basis

Casa Ferrari Carmel will be open from 9am-6pm from Wednesday, August 12, to Sunday, August 16. Admission is free and open to the public.

    70 CA-1
    Carmel Highlands, CA 93923

Casa Ferrari Carmel is co-sponsored by Shell, Hublot and Veuve Cliquo

Where and when exactly is it for sale? It would be great to cheer your car on as part of the brethren. I was at the Mecum Car Week Auctions last year, and I was astonished at how far above market value the cars go for. It is the BEST place to sell a special car. I do feel that the Monterey Car Week sets a whole new bar for car values, particularly F-cars.

Will you be getting another car with the proceeds?

Every once in awhile I see a nice 308 driving around the Great America area. It's probably you. Now all you need is the 512, 288, and...(maybe) a Mondial, and you'll round out the 80s.

We are offering our car at Mecum on Friday. It's a bit odd but we are actually gearing up to invest in a race simulator business. I'm fascinated with the opportunity to experience the entire process of racing without the risk to life, maintenance of equipment, and competitive nature of racing against other drivers. So currently we are exploring which simulators and software will provide the best platform. I look out at my swimming pool trying to remember when I used it last. Conversely, how often would I use a $50k full motion simulator in the comfort of our home? We'll see how things go.

Believe me I felt the heady rush seeing the cars roll in from the Mecum auctions. Could you link me to your Mecum listing? You will get a feeding frenzy in there. It's crazy. You'll love it.

Ha! It very well might be me - we live near there and I haven't seen any other 308s around. Say hi next time!

Those other cars would round out nicely the current collection and I am a kid of the 80s... Unfortunately prices on those are already taken off quite a bit, making it a bit harder.

How many folks will be at Concorso on Sat? I'm wondering if perhaps that may be another venue that may already have many of us there, making it easier to connect? We could arrange to meet at a certain time at a given area/landmark (don't know as this will be my first time there).

That said, Casa Ferrari would work well too.

    Cheers!

    Ruben

Last year I went to Car Week but only for the auctions. I'm open any of the Car Week events where we can get the most amount of 365/400/412 enthusiasts.
