Monterey or Bust!

My daughter and I are counting down until next Saturday, 2 August 2014 when we start out coast-to-coast trip from Philadelphia to Monterey in our QP for Maserati days. We plan to visit car guys and places along the way and we will post our progress on Fchat & Facebook.

Please follow us, give a shout out if we pass through you town. Our planned route is Greensboro NC, Atlanta GA, New Orleans LA, Houston & Dallas TX, Oklahoma City OK, Denver Co, Santa Fe NM, Las Vegas NV and Monterey.

We hope to see old and new Maserati, Alfa Romeo and Ferrari friends along the way!

Depending on which way you go.... The Auto Gallery Maserati in Calabasas (right off 101 fwy). They always have a run to Monterey for the shows. This is the closest dealership to Monterey from Southern CA

If you pass by Gunnison, CO, let me know. We're here until the 11th (a bit north of Gunnison, but close enough). My daughter and I can facilitate a nice pits stop for you two. Sounds like a great trip.

...I must have missed you in the Poconos this year. Maybe we can fix that.

 

Sounds like you may be coming through Santa Barbara - what day are planning to arrive in Monterey?

 

Not sure yet how we're coming across central California yet due to the fires. But definitely want to hit the Route 1 Pacific Coast Highway. The Quattroporte has a spa scheduled at Maserati of San Francisco Monday 11 August.

Give a thought to taking rt 15 out to vegas, then CA18 and 101 up to Santa Barbara. We have a great Cars & Coffee every Sunday morning so you could do that and then head north to SF taking rt 101 and rt 1 along the coast ready for car spa day Monday.

EDIT - no fires to worry about that I'm aware of along that route

Very impressive. Plus, you have the perfect car for such a trip. I'm jealous, I always wanted to do that trip but unfortunately real life problems kept me away.
