That's pretty funny. What the heck was he thinking? Let's hope he doesn't get the idea for the need for a 4WD car now.

Well, it's nice to see Massa back in a Ferrari!

I hate youtube. It takes 30 minutes to watch a 90 second clip.

I think it was pretty funny, but they were all good sports about it, no big deal.

    Nice to see Massa happy.

They all looked so gay except for Massa. It's like a mockumentary moment.

Yes...very embarrassing. I bet he was kicking himself in the backside for a while after that :p

Quite similar to the infamous Veyron crashing in the lake story --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJa32RvAtPE

...or maybe it's just your internet connection?

YouTube works fine 99% for me. I never have to wait for it to load.

Haven't researched, but doesn't the California have fulltime traction control? Or can it be disabled? Wouldn't you have to be really clueless to do this in a Cali with TC on?

Traction control would not help... Those gravel traps are very "soft" and the gravel is very loose. The gravel is there to absorb energy (as you displace the loose gravel) and slow you way down. It is like sand or mud, only not as messy.

TC don't matter, all you need in those cases it's a 4x4 or higher center of gravity (although the California it's a pig of a car):

I'm an idiot for not taking the time to watch the video before asking. I thought the gist was that he spun off into the trap, but DRIVING into it is certainly a different issue.
