I'm still hoping to be able to go, but with less than 3 weeks left like you said, time is running out to find a way to pull it off.
Oh yeah there are plenty of seats available. they are not prime seats but I am sure we will see a Ferrari 1 - 2 in Canada so it will be worth it!
What are you smoking??? I will be in Montreal and Indy but i dont have much faith in Ferrari making a come back durring its north america swing Rob
Have no fear. Michael and Ferrari are ironing out the remaining problems regarding the entire package. We will see some great results starting in Nurburgring.
I will be on the look out for you and your "Bigma" lens We will have to try and hook up and i will let you try out the D2x Rob
Would be fun. I have tickets for the exit grandstand of the hairpin. Also will be at the Newtown restaurant for dinner on Saturday.
We should plan a F-chat dinner after the Practice on Friday or maybe after the Qualifying on Saterday!
One of the few things I miss about Montreal is the GP and strippers. The GP there is Awsome! IMPORTANT TIPS!!!!!!!!! Try to get on a ferry (usually reserved for corporate, Gold and VIPs) that takes you from Old Port all the way to your seats. If not you'll have to walk under the hot Sun for AGES or wait for the overcrowded busses and metro. After the Sunday race is over, you have no choice but to walk for an HOUR AND A HALF to get to the closest shuttle busses. Talk to your local Ferrari dealer to call the Montreal dealership and arrange the ferry. Trust me, you'll thank me. Entertainment. STRIPPERS!!!!!! By law full contact dancing is now legal (you can touch everything but ***** for 10-15 CDN per song). BTW Chez Paré is more a trap for rich Americans. Kamasutra is pretty good. Solid Gold is good, but clientelle is a little rough around the edges. Que de Cheval has great steaks and Ferrari usually reserves the top floor for corporate entertainment. Toqué! is a great French fusion retaurant. Cavalli's is a hot spot restaurant on Peel street. Ferreira is an award winning Portuguese/Meditteranean restaurant. Le Latini and DaVinci great italian. If you are in the Old Port, do not miss Chez l'épicier restaurant. Small, but a hidden gem. Clubs. Time Supperclub - LA style snooty celebrity fest. Moomba Supperclub - a bit far but TONS of blond french bomb-shells. Med Supperclub/ Buena Notta etc on St-Laurent street. Aria - rave club. Upper Club - older more affluent clientelle, small club. Used to be a favourite of mine. Any more Q's, PM me.
...along with some friends from Portland. Seats in 24/hairpin exit also. Arriving Wednesday, friends come Thursday; would enjoy hooking up with fellow f-chatters anytime! dn
Less then 2 weeks Boys!!!!!!! I personally can't wait!!!!!!! So whos in thats no on the list already: Carrera_GTcrazy F1racer Speedracer38 zsnnf docster tifosi12 beast WPGManitoba? Anyone else attending? I can plan a dinner if you guys want, PM if your intrested. Either Friday after the GP or Saterday after the GP.
I won't have time for dinner, but I'd love to get together on Sunday morning at the track before the race. Now that there is no 2nd qualifying anymore, it'll be a long and boring morning before the race begins. Ideal to hang out and swap stories. Maybe somewhere at the hairpin?
Sounds like a plan Andreas. I will be staying a little bit out side of Montreal so i dont think dinner in montreal will work for me. Rob
Does anybody know the schedule of events? I would guess driver parade at 11am and noon to start setting up of the grid. If that's the case around 10am would probably be a good time?
I haven't been to the track in many years, so I'm not so familiar with it. But I'm sure we could decide on some particular grand stand entrance or Fosters bar, whatever. Somebody can suggest something here pls? At any rate I'll be wearing my FChat Racing team polo.
Hmm, you can expect me to have my HP Photosmart 850 with my ferrari logo on it, and also probally my Ferrari Puma F1 hat. We will see.
I will be wearing a paper bag over my head with a red shirt on that says "The unknown Ferrari fan!" 10 AM sounds fine I had the schedule e-mailed to me that had listed all the events but i deleted it I am thinking perhaps near stand 21a the handicapped section at the hairpin Rob
