Sure. Can you pick a location? Is there a main gate or something near the hairpin? Or better yet a Budweiser stand?

    If I remember well...
The Budweiser stand was next to grandstand 31. Don't know if they will be at the same place this year. You have to cross over a "bridge'' to go the other side of the track. (look pic, its around that circle) And it's not that close to the hairpin.
I think we should pick another spot. Between grandstand 15 and 24, there is a few restaurants selling junk food and beer. Maybe there?

    Budweiser girl pics...
1st pic...blonde girl showing the Montoya photo..I wasn't able to keep my eyes off her. :D

Oh wow. Sounds like we live in a parallel universe: I'm pretty sure my Newtown reservation is also for 6pm on Saturday. We're two couples. I guess I'll have to wear my FerrariChat Racing Team polo that evening too. Along with my Sauber Team ear plugs. Huh? I SAID ALONG WITH MY ....

I'm late to the thread, but I have my tickets and I will be there!! Sitting in #24, last year I sat all the way the hell down at #12 which made for a VERY LONG walk, and the view was not good either. This year should be better and I really like those steps along side the river, nice place to chill between sessions!

I definitely would love to meet up with as many of you guys as possible, and the SF needs our support.

Final note: what is the deal with this "Bridgestone Open House?" Can you get in without those tickets from a B'stone dealer? Being from NJ I don't really have access to many locations in Quebec, last year it was opened to the public. As if I wasn't pissed enough already at Bridgestone for turning out crappy tires this year, now they have to go and do this? Somebody please advise and what I need to do to get in!! Thanks. :)

For those in Stand 24, where are your seats? I'm in Section 2, rows U and V (we ordered so the guys could sit together with the wives in front of us a row down), seats 1, 2, and 3. It'd be great if we were close to other FChatters.

I assume that's you Gary in the Galleria in your profile? It's also me in my profile, but that doesn't tell you much...

You need the free tickets to get in.
I know some people who called the Bridgestone HQ in the US and told them they wanted passes. It worked.

Now if you decide to pick up your tickets in Quebec, here's a list of every Bridgestone dealer.

Thanks for the info. I just emailed them through their website, I hope this works, and in time. The pit lane walkthrough was one of the highlights last year.

*edit: I found a number and gave them a call and I'm already getting the run around.... The girl I spoke with said that she has gotten other inqueries and she was told to direct people to a dealer locater hotline, which basically will have the same info as was posted in the above link. I don't see what incentive any of those retailers would have in sending me the tickets, as its highly doubtful I'll be buying tires in Canada any time soon.

I appreciate that B'stone is the sponsor of the race and they want to market themselves, but this arrangement is prohibitive. I have tickets to the bloody race!! That should be enough to get in! :X grrrrrrrrrrrrr

We're in 24 also. Section 2 row PP I think. Last year we brought our tickets with us on Thursday and they let us in to the Pit Walk. In fact, I don't recall them even looking at our tickets. If you have tickets to the GP I find it hard to believe they would turn you away in favor of some kid playing hooky from school with a free Bridgestone pass?

There are a few places to meet behind the grandstands at 24. One spot would be on the concrete seating that faces the St Lawrence Seaway. This is behind 24 and you can't miss them. At the very bottom row of these seats, you are on the access road that runs along the rowing basin. This is the road the Challenge Cars, Formula BMW, etc use to get back and forth to the "support race" paddock.

Another spot would be at the souvenir booth where they sell the generic Montreal GP items. There usually is only one of them and its pretty centrally located behind the seats.

Finally, there is a set of concessions on the level below the seats (this is not under the seats- but a few hundred feet north) There are restrooms there and its not too well known so not much of a crowd.

Hope to meet some of you over the weekend.

    Andy
