    See page 59 here:

    https://corporate.ferrari.com/sites/ferrari15ipo/files/ferrari_nv_annual_report_12.31.2018.pdf

important part in last paragraph of that page:

SVMs (vehicle manufacturers with a worldwide annual production lower than 10,000 units) are required to be compliant with RDE standards starting from 2020

Now, what does 'RDE' compliance require that would presumably force all Monza production to be completed before 1/1/2020 ?

Particulate Matter emissions, this page provides some details:

    https://www.bosch.com/stories/real-driving-emissions/

Bottom line, if Monza production were to extend into 2020 each such car produced would require fitment of GPF devices and would require new homologation for EU...this will dilute the driving emotion as GPF devices will reduce the excitement of the exhaust note, I'm sure no Monza owner would be happy with that!

As further reference, the upcoming F8 will be produced with GPF devices (those produced already have it), this confirms that Ferrari must be compliant with RDE/WLTP starting 1/1/2020

They're focused on Q4 2019 in terms of production and sales, that's what Camilleri has stated back in January. Don't know if they can build all the 499 units in one quarter since it's a complex car to manufacture.

Due to the abundance of recent pictures of various customer cars (Monza), production is occurring now. I do not believe they are waiting until Q4 2019, it just needs to be completed by then.

    Very informative, thank you.

Does this then mean the Pista, Pista Spider specifically production will also need to be complete, and will they modify the existing range (Lusso, PF and 812) to be compliant?

Other than the three demo cars, I've only seen two more black cars (one with white stripes) and one grey, but It's certainly possible that I've missed others.

From what I am able to discover, Pista production, at least for EU, will be over by end of year, I believe the Pista order book is closed worldwide.

As for the Lusso, Portofino and 812, to continue production for EU will require fitment of GPF devices to comply with Particulate emissions (the EU allowed variance is being reduced by a factor of 10 beginning in 2020, that means all combustion engines will require GPF to qualify for new car registration in any EU/UK location).

And, though this can change, historically, Ferrari has only produced a single drivetrain (engine + exhaust) so the presumption is that will continue. That would result in all deliveries of these cars to have GPF devices fitted from 2020 forward. But, maybe Ferrari will change their plan and have different drivetrains for different countries like Porsche currently does in regards to GPF device implementations.

I count many more, and since 499 is total production it is quite possible to complete all production this year, at least for EU/China deliveries. Some US owners are keeping the cars in EU so I believe Ferrari will complete production by end of this year for all deliveries.

    I think you are correct.
I wanted one of the last Pistas and asked for it to be delivered in 2020.Had to lock down spec this week and told to expect it late this year !

Was going through the older pages to see if I missed some pics of test cars there too and I came across this post by Mr. Marcel Massini:

"Production begins December 2019" (originally written on January 19).

That puts it in Q4 2019 as Mr. Camilleri said.

    A few comments from Camilleri:

As we had flagged, our cash flow was exceedingly strong this quarter, reflecting in large part the EUR170 million that we received as advance deposits on the orders for the Monza SP1 and SP2. The first deliveries of these cars will take place in the fourth quarter, which will help us to achieve the positive mix we are targeting for the full year.

As you know, they're all sold. So the bulk -- the real bulk of the deposits we've already received. So that model has performed very well. In fact, we have a lot of orders that can't be matched. The interesting thing is that, actually, we had a number -- quite a few customers who wanted to buy both. We actually refused

By the end of 2021 the Monza SP1 and SP2 would have been delivered.

Remember when some questioned the price and whether Ferrari could shift 500 cars? Some clients want one of each version. Ferrari could have sold 999 of them easily.
    Won't retain value? Big mistake...

Sorry for the off-topic, but when I see this Monza SP Icona, I think I'd love to see the same thing with a Ferrari 275 GTB/C Special!
