I cannot believe it is not road legal across the globe ... If cars like the KTM X-Bow, the Ariel Atom and the BAC Mono are road legal in Europe, I am sure this will be too. It may not be road-legal in the US or other places, but I would be amazed if you couldn’t register the car in the EU

Apparently not road legal in the USA.

Clearly the intention perhaps is that few will actually drive these cars. Given the choice I would rather have a proper 812 convertible, strip out the carpets, give me racing seats, heck even a rudimentary roof would do. For me that would be a nicer car.

I wonder if they will build RHD....cant really see why they wouldn't if its based on a 812.

I would want to be wearing a full face helmet in that car. Will still kill you if it overturns though. I wonder how on earth it got type approval...

I am pretty sure the “bump” behind the headrest has a roll bar in it...I don’t think there is a way of getting type approval without proving it can withstand a roll...

The cut out on the top of the hump suggests a retractable roll bar, like in the Portofino.

I thin this thing would look great with a windscreen, and it would be a lot more usable.

Good point...agree on the windscreen...even if they offered a small one as an option, it would be worth having...

I’ve heard that Ferrari are saying it’s the fastest car they’ve ever made. This is a tall claim considering the F50 GT.

I would be interested to know the weight and not the "dry" weight that seems to be quoted most often these days.....

Yes for sure. I presume a lot of unnecessary things have been gutted making it very very light.

Agree...it will need to be 1200 kg or lower to be faster than the LaF anyway...and if it was 1200kg, then the 0-200 km/h would be closer to that of the Senna (low- or sub-7)...we need more info to understand this

SLR Stirling Moss was 200 killos lighter than the regular SLR.

I wonder how much lighter these cars would be! :)

Not US road legal? So it’s a nice ornament for the rich. Works for me...should be a hoot to drive on the circuit, like a bac mono on crack and steroids.

First impresssions from the pictures: it looks a bit ungainly. The width of the cockpit is too narrow compared to the overall width. And it sits too far back. Hope that it will be better in real life (when I ever do get the chance to see one).

Maybe not so much. Weight savings could be mostly negated by necessary chassis re-enforcement from removing roof. Now, if it had been a carbon tub to start ....

So...RACE shares on the Milano exchange..
They built up this morning to Euro 115, on an "expected announcement" .
When photos of the Monza leaked people thought that was the announcement and they plunged to Euro 108.80
When it turned out the story was actually about the "purosangre" FUV they shot back up to close at 117.40.
That my friends is how investors see the importance of a SUV over a pure sports car.

That car is gorgeous. The more I see it, I can see what a monumental accomplishment this is from Mr. Manzoni and his team: This is a car that is not retro looking- that would be easy- but it reflects the retro aesthetic themes, in a very modern way. It is very clean and beautiful proportions. Its all about surfaces and tension and even purity. I love it. Well done. I would buy one just to have the leather helmet and LP jumpsuit and don't forget the shoes and goggles. Magnificent!
