So based on SF90Stradale (which has P4 inspired elements already)? There is no V12 rear-mid car in production at the moment which points me towards the SF90S again. I was expecting a 288 GTO or F40 Icona since those two have V8 turbos so using SF90S would have been more "real".

Good on Ferrari for putting on this even at Laguna Seca and Monterey.

Speaking of Icona models of 80's icons, I think the redo of the Countach was well done.

Do you think the Countach is worth a million dollars more than the SP1/SP2? Because that is what it costs.
Also as a former Countach owner I must say it doesn’t remind me of my old car at all.

I am guessing Lamborghini is testing the waters a bit with this car. They were able to sell 63 Sian Coupes at a similar price so 112 Countach LPI-800 seems to be well within their reach. SP1/SP2 also has 5x (roughly) the production numbers. I also think that the next Icona if its really P4 inspired and LaFerrari based will be way more expensive and closer to the Countach in price than the Monza.

I have no idea what the next Icona is, but if we assume it is indeed LaF based, it will be difficult to price it above the LaF…Over here you can get a good LaF for the same price as a Countach (2.5m EUR incl tax)! That sounds ridiculous to me
Unless of course the new Icona outperforms the LaF which I very much doubt given that it will not be a hybrid. I assume the next LaF will be at or above the cost of the Countach, but it will also be a much more special car

I don't think that they will launch a new car (except maybe a one-off for a specific customer) based on the LaFerrari. Although the LaF is probably still on eye-level with its competitors in terms of technology and definitely performance, the platform is basically 10 years old and not produced anymore since around 3 years. Can't imagine they will restart production.

That price seems a bit high, but they sold every one they made, so the market spoke.

I think the Monza is great but the Countach is infinitely more usable so which car is the better value?

As an outside observer, I think the new version is a fine bearer of the Countach badge. I love the simplicity in design and the reference to the original version.

If Ferrari went down a similar path and released an Icona F40 I think it would work.

Hmmm.... the front & rear aero seems too much and the rear wing spoils the design... just me
