Sorry about the delay. I typically use the Ferrari Chat app on my iPhone but for some reason no matter what I do it won't let me log in. The web worked so go figure. I noticed the app hasn't been updated in the AppStore in over 5 years so that might explain things. I logged out to try and fix things and forgot my password. The password reset isn't working so now I have a new account. Maybe an issue for the admins some day but I didn't want you to think I was being rude and ignoring your post. I also don't want you to be surprised when you see another username posting pictures of the Monza. We're the same, this is just a new account. I'm still "Almost interesting" (but maybe not quite fully interesting) Anyway, a long way of saying sorry about the delay and confusion... here you go! Since some were interested, here are a few pictures of the car getting converted to street legal in the US. As I said, it was a lot of work! Not some day, today. Multiple accounts are a violation of the TOS. Please confirm that _Alex, mycatisholdingmehostage, Alex Clark, and Almost Interesting are all your accounts. Oh..that's perfection! Love the spec. Argento Nurburgring? Lovely. Congratulations and thanks for sharing!
I didn’t mean to cause any harm good sir and I don’t think my actions warrant such a response. It’s not intentional. The password reset feature was the first thing I tried and the site just returns “you do not have permission to do this action” (both on mobile and desktop). The fact is, the site is based on old technology and often doesn't work very well (particularly when used on modern devices). As a consumer I don’t have the time to debug issues. I try the basic steps and when things fail repeatedly, I naturally take the easiest path. This site is for enjoyment (not work) so I’m not going to fight the user experience. If that offends you then I’m sorry. Like I said, it’s not intentional. However, I suggest you seek solutions rather than yelling at your customers. In any case, delete those accounts if you like or merge them. I’m just here for the content and community. I don’t care about the history or posting status of my accounts. Feel free to take the easiest path for you. If you have more questions then please DM me directly. I don't think everyone here needs to read a back and fourth on support issues.
I was not yelling at you. Nor did I attribute malicious intent to you. If I thought so, then my response would have included a sanction of some sort. That being said, 4 times is likely a record for benign re-registrations. The reason we have this rule in the TOS is that the majority of cases are not benign. Since you posted publicly that you had done this and that you understood this might be an issue for the site, it seemed appropriate to explain publicly the correct action for you (and others observing who might be tempted to take your example) to take in the future. The emphasized part was to draw your and others attention to the part NOT to do, not meant as yelling. The 4 accounts have been merged. Please email [email protected] with your desired notification email and password to complete the reset.
It’s argento nurburgring and the roundels are bianco king. Also happy to share them. It was a surprise to see the car in that state but also really cool. Not often you get to see the insides of the Monza!
Thank you for sharing your Monza in such detail; a truly unique opportunity for many here. The tailor made homage to the 1957 250 TR with it's silver over red is done to wonderful effect. That was a great call.
As the Monzas are under Show and Display, is there a point to the conversion kits (US) ?? less restrictions after conversion, maybe ?
Thank you! I wanted something simple, timeless and classic. I went through a lot of different designs and then saw this book I had on my shelf for years. It was my inspiration and I’m very happy with the result. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I’m not sure what you mean. Every car has to undergo the conversion to qualify for the show and display exemption and get registered
