To my fellow Tifosi -- will be in Milan in September visiting my daughter and would like to make plans to attend the race in Monza. Any tips / advise greatly appreciated -- best seats / turns , activities , best way to get there, etc. Greatly appreciate it guys and Forza Ferrari Carlos
I prefer first chicane. Action guaranteed. Either outside or inside (there are several grandstands). And the espresso at the food stall is excellent...
Monza is great, a must-do event. I think a grand stand on the front straight is a bit boring but you would see the cars the most there. I would look at Varianti Ascari or Seraglio, as the best parts ... you will see them come up to the chicane and then go down the back straight. As for getting in and out of Milan.... ugg. painful. Stazione Centrale is where you catch the train, then a bus from the station in Monza. I would not recommend driving or Uber etc... traffic will be nutz! if you stay north up in the lake country - Como has a heliport you can buzz down to Monza in 35 min, its a great flight land you across from the high speed straight and its a 10 min walk.... OR Paddock club is the best way to go... As for activities, Monza is probably the most historic track there is... ( Brooklands, and Indy ) ... there is a great shopping store there, used to be the bookstalls, not sure if they are there anymore. but a visit to the banking is a must-do, as well as a small museum there next to the Ascari sculpture usually at the shopping center in Milan next to the Duomo ( Vittorio Emanuele ) they have a large F1 display, and the Ferrari store has its Sim lab downstairs. lots of good restaurants to go to as well.
Only buy tickets from the official circuit website and/or Ferrari if you decide to go for full Paddock Club hospitality Many similar threads over the years which might be worth looking up Enjoy
Saturday was like a normal day, Sunday was pure chaos!! Camping at the track would be a better option than taking the train on race day! Image Unavailable, Please Login
that is hard core! I cant do the camping... but it would be cool to be there the whole time. Many people don't know, but Monza is a former "Royal" park - and there is a Palace in the center of the city of Monza that was the King of Italy's summer residence. if you walk south and follow the main dirt / sandy road under the south banking - follow it for about 2 miles you will enter the grounds of the main place. There is also Monza Cathedral that has the Lombardy Iron Crown .... and a lot of other relics... worth a look. the palace is also pretty cool to see, but does not compare much to French or English palaces... but still nice. There is also a golf course to the east of the track, but not sure if its public... don't think so.
To be fair they look much nicer than the tent I brought for Silverstone 2007 (thank goodness Kimi won...and the very nice Brazilian girls sitting in front of us! I. Hate. Camping. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

We drove in in a rental car last year, had no problem parking about 2 blocks from the entrance to the track- great circuit! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
