I have a quick and possibly easy question for someone that knows the Mooresville/Lake Norman Area exotics. My question is, does anyone have a roundabout estimate of what there are for exotics in Mooresville/Lake Norman? Specifically I'm mostly talking about Brawley School Rd but any in the are I'd like to know about because every time there is a meet in the area I see the pictures posted online of all these ferraris and lambos and such that I had no idea existed around here and the ones I do see are never in the pictures. To get specific with what I have seen I'll list them:

Yellow Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster (at Joel's Sushi)
    Lime Green Murcielago Coupe
Red Ferrari F430 (Once on the road near Dunkin Dounuts and at McCarty Motors dealership yesterday)
Red Viper GTS (also at McCarty Motors)
Black Dodge Viper Convertible (2 times)
Blue with White racing stripes Dodge Viper Coupe (2 times)
Red Ferrari 360 Spider (also at Joel's)
Silver Ferrari 360 Spider (Spotted near Joel's and it had a spoiler of sorts and I saw it on a dealership website in the area)
Dark Grey Lotus Elise or Exige
Red Ferrari 328 (Spotted in Davidson Area)
Silver Bentley Continental GT (In Best Buy parking lot)
Black/Dark Blue Maserati with gunmetal grey rims (Once at Bruster's and once at the Point)
Light/Bright Blue Bentley Arnage at Target once
Black Porsche 911 996 Turbo? (Near Walmart)

I'm not including Corvettes, Mercedes, and BMWs in the list because there are just too many of them to list.

While at the dealership yesterday the guy that was there while my friend and I were being amazed by the F430 (lol) said that there are actually LP640's in the area. What ever you guys know about and don't care sharing about I would love to hear about. I have pictures of many if not most of the cars mentioned above if more detail is needed. Thanks

Absolutely I would count that as an exotic. How often do you bring it out? Is it like a couple times a year car or a couple times a month? Thats another thing I'm looking for, are any of these exotics just garage queens or do the owners drive them frequently? Thanks for sharing, I love the Viper Red, it looks great on the Pantera.

And why you have not brought it out to some of our meets I will never know!

I love Panteras; I even looked at one before I bought my Ferrari.

Drew, your question is oddly framed. It almost sounds like you are asking for names and address of exotic owner in your area, and that is a no-no.

    Also odd is that the rally yesterday in Balentine was very well announced in this thread;

    http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=188369

...so why you did not come and see them for yourself and MEET the owners in person does not make sense in light of your question either.

No, you misunderstood the question. I don't want names and addresses, that is way to personal. Basically you could split my question into two parts. First, are the cars I have seen around from around the area or are they random people from places in Charlotte and the surrounding areas that happen to come to Mooresville? And second, if these cars are from around Mooresville are there a bunch that I haven't seen that don't come out much or I just happen too miss when they are out and about? And about the Balentine Rally, I would have been there in a heartbeat had I not had to work. I always seem to notice the rallys in the area a day or two ahead of the actual event and so far the ones that I would consider reasonable driving distance for me have mostly been on work days or days that I had something planned. So, in a roundabout way you could say I was asking, until a time that I am able to make it to one of the rallys, is there much car wise that I have to look forward to as the weather gets nicer and people are getting ready to bring their exotics out? Thanks again

Thanks for the hospitality. I do drive it a couple of times each month, will do more as weather improves. As you can see, I'm somewhat limited in personal mobility so that prevents me attending some functions. I would like to get together when possible, so please keep me informed.

The red 328 in Davidson was probably me, but there are at least 2 or 3 others in the area.

It might have been your 328, it was over by the Davidson police station and Food Lion about a month or so back. I thought about pulling a quick U-Turn to get a better look, but when you consider the face that it was pretty busy out, I was already late for a chiropractor appointment, and I am only 17 and getting a reckless driving ticket would not be good for the already high car insurance. I had no idea that there were that many exotics around especially ferraris. With 5-6 accounted for in the last 2 posts. I was expecting the one f430 that I saw to be all that was in the area. I forgot to mention in my first post a silver 550 in Davidson by Walgreens, and a white Porsche 997 911 GT3 at Target in Mooresville. Thanks again

You can go through the sightings thread in this section and see that there are a lot of exotics and high ends sports cars in the Charlotte area.

I noticed that there are a bunch in the Charlotte area, but that was a little too broad for what I was looking for, I was looking specifically for cities like Mooresville, Lake Norman, Cornelius, and Davidson. All smaller towns around where I live. I don't venture to Charlotte much.

This thread is so old, but for any wanderers looking through old NC related threads like this one, thought I'd share some knowledge I've gathered.

Lake Norman area probably has without a doubt some of the most insane cars residing in NC. Especially with the huge NASCAR driver presence in Cornelius/Mooresville area. There is now a McLaren F1 in Charlotte, the XP4 prototype, its owner lives in Cornelius but has it stored at his dealership, he also has the LeMans winning GT40, a newer GT that matches it, GT LM specced like the one that won LeMans, 917/30, 250 GT SWB and TDF, Maserati 300S, F40, RUF SCR, and much more. He use to have an EX Brunei 959 and orange P1 that was brought to Pinehurst Concourse almost 10 years ago. He drives all of his cars, so if you're in the Cornelius area and lucky enough to see one of his cars, there you go, as I'm typing this out, his newer Ford GT was spotted on the 4th of July on i77.

As far as other cars in this area goes, there's another F40 in LKN area and has less than 300 miles on it and is just kept in a warehouse under covers with its window sticker on it still, insanity. There's an LFA Nurburgring in Cornelius as well owned by a NASCAR driver and it has less than 1000 miles on it. Did I mention that the LKN area has more than 10 newer Ford GT's? Yeah, most are owned by NASCAR drivers and I believe 1 or 2 of them sold theirs, and the rest still have theirs kept at their houses in LKN. There's also an 812 Competizione as well and the owner of that also has a viola Dino 246 GT he had restored not too long ago, he has a huge building somewhere in Cornelius where he stores his collection. His 812 Competizione is specced in homologation to 250 GTO 3445GT which is also an NC car in Chapel Hill. There are 2 Senna's, one road car and one GTR, the GTR if I heard correctly is just stored there year round. Other cars like a 997 GT2 RS, BMW M1 Procar, collection with a bunch of imported 90's Holdens, 3 original cobras (one belonging to the owner of the F1), Miura, 488 Pista Piloti owned by a Ferrari driver, so much more insane stuff. There's also a red Shelby 1000 somewhere near Cornelius as well. There use to be another M1 but I don't know if it's still there, regardless, this area has some insane stff.
