I had some detailing work done on the F40. Here are a bunch of pics I took yesterday.
yes, as well as a Vanquish, a couple of 360 CS's, a Bentley Continental GT, an AM DB7 convertible and sundry other lesser cars. Andy Cohen always has a great selection in his showroom. Always worth a visit!
Amazing. There must be something wrong with me though. Noticing the car next to a F40... Looking forward to future pics of her.
Wow...! Alex, congratulations...! It looks awesome... How long have you had it...? Can you give us some driving impressions...?
I hope you've been out and spanked its' arse BEFORE you detailed it...you'll regret it if you haven't..either because you'll get it dirty OR because you won't even do it now.... please say you've driven it to the limit of your ability already and NOT creating another garage queen!!
Ditto, but I am sure Alex will ... these sort of cars never look right to me unless they have that brake dust look about the wheels and the dirt lines along them and are click and ticking away after a good hard thrash ... oh baby! Pete
For what its worth, I have always gone by the philosophy that believes that just about everything is fixable, or in the case of cars, restorable. So I detail my cars because I enjoy driving clean cars. I drive them so much I invested in a detailing outfit in Phoenix so that my cars could always be cleaned up after a good hard thrash. I'm waiting for the new tires on the F40 (arriving on Wednesday or so) before I have a go. The current tires are the originals and even 'though they look really good, they are probably harder than my head so there won't be much traction in them!
Thanks Roy. There's a lot of interest in the car so I've decided to bring it to Phoenix rather than leave it in Laguna. If you come to the Brazil Grand Prix FCA thingy at my house it will be on display.
perfect answer alex.... "I dirty them so much, I bought a company!"..classic. Good onya. You da man. err yep, the tyres.....fit new asap. I know a guy that flew an F40 all the way to Australia, looped outside his house on old cold tyres, scared himself silly and got rid of it immediately...what a waste!
Alex, great job on the F40, when you have time, swing by Colorado where I can give you 3 F40 to detail !!! After that, you can start on a SL55AMG that could use some clean up. Take care Roland F40LM
