How do I register for these events? Do you have more details? I am interested "performance driving instruction" part. Will the instructor ride w/ you? Is there any attire requirement? (non-flammable racing suit??)
Aren't those dates at MSR member days? The calendar they sent me has those as open dates. Did Jack rent the track out from under us?
Yoshi Call the office here and talk to Tim Miller jakermc: I really can't answer for Jack. I don't know.
Yep, those are member days... as overloaded as the schedule is, I'm a bit surprised he'd be cutting out more days yet. Especially Aug 14th... there'll be almost no notice at all there!!
I just got my bill for March, seems like he just needs to learn how to collect. I can't imagine a business having that problem, but I do have a friend that still hasn't billed clients from a couple years back.
Sharing is the word, Jack is being a gracious host and we are sharing the member day so the members can get to know us too, He is advertising in our magazine.
Given the notice, I hope that would be the case. The March bill was the most recent one we have received and the schedule in that letter still showed August 14 as a member day. Jim - do you know if TDM has the track exclusively or will they stage the event in conjunction with member sessions? I would love to come out and be there for the event, but $195 is pricey for a member to pay for 1 day on the track. If I can attend as a member I'd be there. edit - just read Jim's post above. Sounds like a plan! For those considering the event, be warned. The track is highly addictive, far worse than any drug. Once your hooked, its can also become more expensive then those other vices. You'll soon find yourself craving more track time, trading your valuables for tires and pads, and debating the merits of a full time track car/trailer set-up versus food and shelter. I highly recommend it.
I heard that before, and that's why I want to try it. I try almost anything at least once to decide it's not for me. Autocross was fun at my first try, so hoping the tracking is fun, too. I am bit scared, too, since I never did this though.
