it is nice to see the "orphaned" 330 GTO / LMB included in the list. with the 250GTO The extra chassis length and -power from the their 4.0 L adds to the enjoyment that the car. The 330 LMB represent great value when compared to the rest of the 250 GTO. while setting a few performancerecords of their own.
Unfortunately Kun Hee Lee still has a stolen vehicle purchased from Don Williams of Blackhawk The Lee (Samsung) family has a difficult time staying out of jail

WOW - I never imagined how informative this thread would become when I started it around 12 years ago.
When I was involved with the FCA, I met a number of GTO owners (back in the seventies) as follows:
I'm not positive about the serial numbers but I'll give it a try. Correct me if I'm wrong.
    Mr Conway - #4713 and #5575.
    Mr Gelles (brothers?) - #5573.
    Mr Pappalardo - S/N unknown.
    Mr Sachs - S/N unknown.

So, here's my question - where are the cars now?

In those years you should have also come in contact with Mr. Bodin #3223.

Yes, but I just would call him Bob. Back then he had a fine assortment of Ferraris. I was rather fond of 0677GT and Lynda's Cali Spider.

Nice article about 3765. The engine in the dyno video is a 4 mount 330 GT 2+2 tipo 209 engine modded with 6 carbs, not 330 GTO/LMB (tipo 163) as stated in the video.

I don't know how you know this but thank you for adding your very valuable knowledge.

In the engine video I see the fellow in the dyno room has a timing light while it's running; I have not seen anyone using a light like that at those rpm's, is that standard?

and what else is he fiddling with on that bank of the engine?

    I wonder a little: at nearly 2800 rpm only 15 hp? ( time 1:35 )

may be checking the advance both sides?

Years ago it could have been me in that passenger seat. In 1998 Gregor Fisken brought 3387 to Silverstone for a track day and many participants were giving rides. So I cheekily asked mr Fisken politely if I could catch a ride and he said yes! Alas, the pit marshal didn't allow it as there were no seatbelts for the passenger seat...but still a nice memory.

Yes, Jeff - you are correct.
I did meet Dr/Mr Bodin only at one event, FCA/Watkins Glen, late 70s as I recall.
He drove his GTO from somewhere in the midwest and even equipped it for a CB radio.
I don't know how he manged to communicate with it - those cars were loud!!
