Thanks for your replies. Dyke, was it a similar tool kit to the outside plug cars or something special?

Meant to say that some sources state that the 250 LM was a Factory design that was refined by Pininfarina.

Trying to scoop some cool air in with my hand! We got stuck behind sightseers, so it got toasty inside.

Extract from 1984 film The Marque of a Legend - Man's Quest for the Ultimate Sports Car by Tony Maylam narrated by the actor Robert Hardy in link here (probably VHS so clarity not great) of RHD S1 #3767GT and RHD converted to S2 #4399GT driven by Derek Bell and John Surtees around the owner's estate. Note the different dash, which was changed for road use, that 4399GT had then.

Thanks. I’d never seen that one. It appears to be the same venue as some of the Victory by Design programs. Is that the Bamford estate?

Yes, the Bamford Estate - the best playground ever. The later Victory by Design series narrated by Alain de Cadenet was also filmed there. Lord B still owns these 2 GTOs and the Production 250 Testa Rossa #0752TR in the segment before it.

Who remembers the GTO prototype was tested at Monza on 8th september 1961, before the F1 GP ? :)
May be we should make a whole thread for 250 GTO history and races ?
