The 1965 Graber interior got ripped out and the then owner, Irvine Laidlaw, made wallets out of the discarded leather and sold them. The wind up windows installed by Graber are still on the car.

The current interior installed around 2006 is by Robert O'Rourke.

That is how it was at the 1962 Tour de France raced by Lucien Bianchi.

Steve, was the 2006 trim work meant to replicate the Graber period-altered interior? Or did Dott. Ing. Laidlaw choose to grace us with a freestyle artistic interpretation of what the interior 'should be'?

See my 2013 post here and see how the interior was. No, the Graber interior was not replicated.

The Graber interior looked nice. I am all for restoring race cars to their glorious liveries and all that but one Lusso version - a bit like the street-legal 917 - wouldn't hurt and would certainly stand out.

Lord Laidlaw certainly had the means to - couldn't that 1965 interior be restored instead of being totally replaced?

Interesting. Do you have period photos? It just feels weird without any other decals

    Incorrect information.
    Not with Collier.
Owner is in NYC, he got it January 2020. Restoration has been completed recently.

    About 3505:

There are notes that 3505 was in Goodwood on 23/apr/62 (Easter Monday GT Meeting) when Stirling Moss had his accident. I'm not 100% sure but think that Innes Ireland planned to race it using #51 in Sussex Trophy but stepped up to Lotus 19 Climax after the said incident. Michael Parkes raced 3589 #52 and then there is this note of David Piper in GTO #56. Now the problem here is that Ronnie Hoare and Innes Ireland had just driven 3505 & 3589 from Italy to UK a week or so earlier, and they were the only two GTOs in the country. Piper reveiced his 3767 three months later so... what was his Goodwood entry about?

See race report in Autosport: it does not mention David Piper at all, suggesting that he DNA.
An obvious explanation for this would be that his GTO hadn't arrived yet.

Did David Piper have a 250 GT SWB before 250 GTO 3767, or was 3767 his first Ferrari? See screenshots below of program where it states Piper was entered in a red 250 GT 2953 cc.

The GTOs and Chris Kerrison's 250 Drogo (2735) were referred to as Berlinettas whereas Piper's car was referred to as 250 GT.

Chris Kerrison was racing 2735 in its Berlinetta format, Steve. The Drogo came about the following year. The sad thing is that no one has ever managed to produce a photo of Stirling in 3505, though he definitely did practice in it. Chris finished second to Parkes in the GT class.

Correcting myself here as too late to edit. 2735 was not Drogo bodied here.

I wonder when Piper acquired 1539GT. Imported into UK early in 1961 and featured in a Sports Car and Lotus Owner article in May 61. Piper received 3767 in July 1962, so maybe this was the red 250GT he entered but did not race in Goodwood...

    D. David C. Lane, a neurosurgeon in Fort Lauderdale/FL sold 1539 GT early 1961 to Brian Naylor, a Brit in Nassau/Bahamas, who then exported 1539 GT to UK where it was sold to Tony Heathcote-Drury in England. Piper got 1539 GT from Heathcote-Drury and Piper sold 1539 GT in 1975 to Victor Norman who had the car converted from LHD to RHD by David Clarke's Graypaul Motors.
