Very true. I like the transport wheels they use. Seems like they just rushed the spare parts bin the nite before to grab something quik. Looks like 2 wheels and 2 spare wheels
It is interesting to see that the rear wheels are very narrow, but nevertheless they have the 5-spoke design... specifically forged for that purpose? I can't imagine where else they could use such small rims!
did this car ever race at the DETROIT GRAND PRIX in 1982..it looks verey similar to the car that raced there.i saw the race.
Reply courtesey of Luc Guys: 'The guy with the hat standing behind Pedro is José Behra, brother of Jean. The Rodriguez brothers were very close to the Behra's, Pedro drove his first Le Mans 24H with José Behra in 1958 in a Ferrari TR500. He was entered with Ricardo but Ricardo was considered too young so Behra took his place.
This photo is from my collection and has many of the same elements. It was taken at LeMans in 1960. I don't know the young lady? David Image Unavailable, Please Login

wouhaou. . . Dinodan. magnifique pics. 312 B2/Regazzoni (in track Ickx). Matra-Simca MS120B/Amon. McLaren M19A/Hulme and Gethin.
I have 126CK#053 (Didier PIRONI) and 126CK#054 (Gilles VILLENEUVE) - Hockenheim 81. Didier PIRONI drove 126C2#056 at Detroit 82. Unfortunatelly, the great Gilles lost his life during the Belgian GP, so there was only one Ferrari at the start in Detroit. The same year, Didier PIRONI crashed heavilly at Hockenheim with 126C2#060. A very bad accident who put an end to his career. Didier lost his live in 1987 in a raceboat, the famous and spectacular "Colibri".
Yes, in the first photo with Hill, Rodriguez and Pedretti is José Behra with the hat. In the second photo from Bertocchi is olivier Gendebien... With a similar hat! Maybe the women is his wife...
Yes, looks like Marie-Claire. She can also be seen in the background of this photo (over his shoulder - wearing dark glasses): http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=135662262&postcount=601
Better photograph, extracted from Foundation Olivier Gendebien http://archives.fondation-olivier-gendebien.com/ a click below on the link http://img177.imageshack.us/img177/912/1960spmansf250tr0774trgan6.jpg observe, in top on the left, the young woman with the same shirt; it's the same girl, same face but without her glasses. I think that it's a groupie make a photograph with a champion ! I do not deposit the photograph on the forum, just to consult. It's not mine Best
Thank you El Wayne... I think in the photo posted by Jan Biekens, the women with the hat is Laura Ferrari, Enzo's wife. She died in 1978 I think.
Re Post #2625 of 13th August 2007, by David Castelhano/Bertocchi: Bardinon acquired 0870 on 14 June 1970 from Chinetti, NOT from the factory. It had been sold by the factory to Chinetti in 1969 already. Bardinon still owns it today. The sister car, 0872, is now in Switzerland. It will be shown for the first time in many years at the Ferrari Racing Days in Hockenheim, Germany, 21-23 September 2007. It will be in Spider configuration but the Berlinetta bodywork exists also. Marcel Massini
Great news. I know that the previous owner of #0872 endured a very long restoration and had to make one car from two. Coco Chinetti had a 312PB of sorts constructed it with the running gear of 0872. I was involved to a very small degree in assisting in the gathering of both cars and also having fiberblass molds made for both the coupe and open bodies. Through a series of complicated trades I ended up with the body and chassis of the Sparling built car. I will dig out the photos and post them soon. David
You are correct. EDP, as his friends call him, built a removable super structure so the car could be used as a coupe or open car. He also made all sorts of inner fenders wells, panels, brackets, etc.. Fabulous job by a truly talented and often overlooked craftsman. He also, of course, did all the bodywork and painted the car. It did make an appearance at Cavallino a few years back. Thanks for pointing that out. I know you have a relationship with Eno that goes way back (I don't want to reveal our ages). David
He's doing great. I saw him at Lime Rock over Labor Day. He was there with his Special which is very Cool. He worked on my Lola. A great guy! Best
I can't wait to see #0872 at Hockenheim! And we're waiting for your photos David. In this shot from Le Mans 1974 we can see Theodoro ZECCOLI in the "Chinetti Speziale". Co-driver was Jean-Claude ANDRUET. Image Unavailable, Please Login
